词源笔记

tension形容心情紧绷的状态，即“紧张”。形容词tense表示“紧张的”或“紧迫的”。因为tender表示伸展变薄的状态，所以有“柔软的”之意。后来又从“倾向（tend）人（er）”的心情或情形中衍生出了“照料者”的意思。
